Caucus Day!

Today is the beginning of a very important political year - today are the Iowa caucuses, the very first of the presidential primaries! Regardless of what side of the political fence you find yourself on, I think we can all agree that this administration has done shocking and horrific damage all the way around. But the best way to fight back is in the ballot booth, so be sure to vote for your candidate in the primaries! To make it a little easier for you, I’ve listed the dates of the primaries for your various states (organized by earliest date). If I forgot your state, click the link below to get the full list.

  • New York 2/05/2008
  • Massachusetts 2/05/2008
  • Colorado 2/05/2008
  • Arizona 2/05/2008
  • Washington 2/19/2008
  • Texas 3/04/2008
  • Vermont 3/04/2008
  • Pennsylvania 4/22/2008
  • Oregon 5/20/2008
  • Kentucky 5/20/2008

Full list of presidential primary dates.

Since I’m pretty sure I don’t have any visitors from Iowa, none of my 6 readers will be voting today, so be sure to watch the news this evening to see how things play out. Iowa can make or break candidates. Happy (eventual) voting!!

Thanks for the list, sweetie. I WILL be sure to vote for MA.
I agree that this is a particularly important time for "getting out the vote".
Hopeful news: This year approx. 239,000 democrats participated in the Iowa Caucus, which is a huge improvement over last year.

The Husband and I are both Independents, so no primaries allowed for us. But we're both voting for the same party regardless of which candidate they put up. We have our favorites, but really, anyone from the opposite side will be an improvement over the current idiot.
