Easter

We had such a wonderful Easter yesterday. It made me think that Easter is an underrated holiday. It's a celebration of spring (a big deal around here), the colors are so pretty, the creative possibilities are endless, and there aren't any of the weird expectations that accompany other big holidays. It also made me realize that Charlotte is an Easter egg hunting master. We really didn't know how she was going to do with it, but damn.

These were the favors I brought to Easter dinner. They're real eggs, blown out, spray painted, and then with a fortune inside. I got the idea here. They were so fun. I think next year I might make them again, but with a twist. I think they'd be super cute painted in bright pastels, and then put on skewers and into a vase to look like flowers.

Reading fortunes

During the Easter egg hunt. Please note the expert, purse-like, manner in which she's holding her basket.

Delighted to learn that some of the eggs had Hershey kisses inside!

OMG how cute wish I could have been there to see the egg hunt, and the kiss's lol. I think the eggs on skewers sounds good, use markers to put flowers on them.
